Leinfelden-Echterdingen / Hamburg – Daimler Buses has been confirmed by Hamburger Hochbahn AG as the sole supplier of up to 350 fully electric Mercedes‑Benz eCitaro and eCitaro G city buses. Over the next five years, the new solo and articulated buses are to be delivered to the northern German city of Hamburg. Hamburger Hochbahn AG was particularly impressed by the low total cost of ownership (TCO) and the ease of repair of the eCitaro over the entire long service life of the electric buses to be supplied by Daimler Buses.

They have a whole host of assistance systems such as Preventive Brake Assist and Sideguard Assist with functions that, in some cases, go far beyond what is required by the General Safety Regulation (GSR) of the European Union. The state-of-the-art CO2 automatic climate control system with sophisticated thermal management ensures a pleasant and comfortable climate.
