A real low-floor bus as far back as the second door and then a high-floor bus to the rear of the bus: The Citaro LE Ü inter-urban bus combines comfortable low-floor design with economical high-floor technology. This makes it a real asset for your fleet. As you can use the Citaro LE Ü very flexibly, it allows you to fully exploit its potential. Not only in inter-urban traffic, but also on short excursions at any time.
Versatility in three varieties.
Like all the vehicles in the Citaro family, the Citaro LE Ü is also equipped with economical, low-emission Euro VI engines. Protects the environment and your budget. The flexible multi-income earner is available in several variants in line with your wishes and requirements. Besides the 12.20 meter long Citaro LE Ü, the Citaro LE MÜ is one meter longer and offers more space for up to six people. Whereas the Citaro LE Ü has as standard two entrance doors, the Citaro LE MÜ is available as a 2- or 3-door model.
As the engine can be installed vertically in the rear thanks to the high-floor design, the Citaro LE Ü offers more seats and a higher passenger capacity than comparable low-floor vehicles. In this respect, too, it is helping to achieve economic goals.
High-tech to optimise torque.
The 260-kW OM 936 h engine variant is equipped with the Power Boost System (PBS). It shortens the torque build-up in the lower engine speed range by injecting compressed air. This is how the compact engine convinces with the starting characteristics of a large-volume engine.
Low Entry: passenger-friendly and economical.
Low Entry means: these buses feature a low-floor design from the front section up to and including the centre entrance, and a raised floor behind the centre entrance (2nd door). This "composite design principle" provides a high level of passenger comfort, including for passengers with restricted mobility. You also benefit from the uncomplicated and maintenance-friendly location of the assemblies in the rear area.

Handling large numbers of passengers is the area of competence of the 18.12 m long Citaro GÜ. Up to 128 passengers will find ample space. Continuous low-floor design from the first to the last row of seats ensures high comfort and enables fast passenger flow. The comfortable, robust overland seats and the flexible handrail system are also designed to meet the demands of modern transportation businesses.
A spacious wonder with unique curve technology
Unique ATC safety technology
Front and rear carriage of the Citaro GÜ are joined by a tried-and tested low-floor articulation. The maximum articulation angle is 54 degrees. The ATC (Articulation Turntable Controller) developed by Mercedes-Benz sets a new standard for driving dynamics and safety. It controls the hydraulic damping of the demand-oriented articulation depending on (among other things) steering angle, angle, speed and load. The result is convincing: while the conventional damping of the articulation leads to strong tendency to understeer in curves and higher tyre wear, the articulation of the Citaro GÜ is almost free in a normal stable driving situation. Damping is only through the friction of the component elements.
Safe, manoeuvrable and comfortable.
The Citaro GÜ has the same highly developed assistance systems and a body that is just as stable as the normal Citaro. Despite its length, it can also be manoeuvred safely in dynamic situations. The driver can even manoeuvre it comfortably in reverse gear. This is aided by the independent suspension on the front axle. It makes the Citaro GÜ one of the most manoeuvrable in its class.
Great overall economy.
