In the early hours of 24 March 2012 the international Spotlight advertising festival ended with an unforgettable party night. Germany's most popular festival for advertising spots celebrated the distinctive 15th edition in the largest cinema in Baden-Württemberg, the CinemaxX Mannheim. Thanks to a total of ten screens it was the perfect location to look back on the development of creative videos in the past 15 years with a significantly expanded supporting program befitting the anniversary.
The spectator show on Friday evening was moderated by notoriously critical consumer Oliver Kalkofe, who made the show once more a true highlight: the show was broadcast live to two more theatres, giving more than 1000 spectators in all the chance to vote for their winning videos of the 2011/2012 festival. With a total of 267 submitted spots the advertising film festival grows significantly compared with last year. It records the third-best result since its inauguration in 1998.
